Dolly Does It Again

Dolly Parton keeps on doing good, even in the face of a global pandemic. She made a $1million donation to help fund Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine. She made the gift to Vanderbilt University's COVID-19 research program. When she learned that her gift helped make a vaccine that will save millions of lives, she was pretty happy.

This queen of country music is no stranger to paying it forward. From the creation of The Imagination Library in 1995 (something her ailing father told her was the most important thing she'd ever done) to Goodnight With Dolly (a virtual bedtime story she read to kids during the pandemic), Dolly Parton has been doing far more than gracing us with her golden voice and southern charm. Now you can add Lifesaver to her title and long list of things giving Dolly Parton Giraffe Status.
