After Jim's Lipscomb's granddaughter posted a video on social media asking the community for donations so she could send him to the Super Bowl, Jim was surprised with so much more. People from across the state came together with more than 2,000 donations to raise more than $42,000 through a GoFundMe campaign. That's when Caleb Rice jumped in and paid for the Super Bowl tickets himself so that Jim could keep all $42,000 for any other expenses he had.
