Who We Are
We are a media and special event startup focused on bringing more GOOD into the world. Through our quarterly print and digital magazine, The Giraffe Effect, and Giraffe, our online community for all things GOOD, we're dedicated to sharing only positive stories, happy news, and GOOD ideas for making our world better. Giraffe special events are about doing our part to teach kindness and spread joy far and wide.
Who You Are
Giraffes are positive, adaptable, and creative. They thrive in a group, but are able to work independently without much supervision. Giraffes are outgoing, social, and able to easily build positive relationships to move the organization forward. They have an innate need to "shake the world, in a gentle way." They don't aim to be perfect, just better than they were yesterday. They treat everyone equally, always hold their head high, have huge hearts, and stick their neck out for others.
Our Founder
Jamie Foltz founded the organization because she knew there was still so much GOOD happening in the world that we just weren't seeing. She left her role managing the fundraising team for the world's largest Ronald McDonald House to create a space where people could come for positive stories, happy news, and GOOD ideas to make the world better. She passionately supports Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, and wants to get more GOOD causes highlighted every day.
