Partnerships Specialists are responsible for building a portfolio of advertisers, subscribers, and special event sponsors across the US. Responsible for prospecting, soliciting, and managing their designated portfolio, Partnership Specialists will work to close sales, while fostering a culture of kindness from initial cultivation through post-sale stewardship activities.
RESPONSIBLITIES
Build relationships with small business and corporate community to strengthen giraffe’s print and digital advertising reach, circulation, and special event sponsorships.
Proactively seek, cultivate, and solicit new business relationships with brands and sponsorship agencies.
Build deep trusted relationships with sponsorship decision-makers within brands and their agencies to serve their interactive and event marketing needs.
Grow giraffe’s sponsorship revenue through stories, interactive events, and digital marketing opportunities.
Execute all partnership activation commitments effectively, accurately, and on time.
Represent giraffe with the highest ethical standards.
Some travel required, in addition to minimum of one Joy Ride per year (additional compensation for each joy ride tour).
Qualifications
Proven success in business development, fundraising, and/or inside sales, closing minimum five-figure deals.
Personal relationships with C-level executives/decision-makers at top brands.
Strong knowledge of sponsorship sales, marketing, and corporate community strategies including industry trends, key players, and terminology.
Self-starter with proven ability to research and identify prospective sponsors, partners, and new business opportunities across targeted categories in a competitive landscape.
Well-versed in executing ad sales, prospecting, pursuing, and developing new partnerships.
Understanding of CRM tools, with a willingness to learn new technology.
