Started in 2014, One Tree Planted has more than doubled the number of trees planted year over year. Fast-forward to today, they now work with reforestations partners in North America, South America, Asia, and Africa who help get trees in the ground to restore forests after fires and floods, create jobs, build communities, and protect habitat for biodiversity.

With a $1 donation you can ensure one tree gets planted. They also make it really easy for companies to partner with the organization through volunteer efforts (tree-planting events) and give-back programs to ensure that each sale of a company's product gets a tree planted. Giraffe has actually partnered with One Tree Planted and they made the process so simple. For each magazine subscription sold, we donate a tree in our subscriber's name. It's a simple step to ensure that the trees needed to create our happy mail are repopulated (times ten).
